What is this course about?
This Double Diploma course is designed for those in the construction industry wanting to get off the tools and move into more senior construction management positions. This integrated course contains hand-picked units to give you the ultimate combination of both operational and strategic construction management skills while also equipping you with the critical project management skills to execute plans effectively and succeed in your career. Throughout the course, you’ll have the opportunity to acquire skillsets that the construction industry needs, from end-to-end project planning through to budgeting and cost management, WHS and risk management, stakeholder communication and performance management skills.
This qualification is suitable for anyone currently working in a construction environment that would like to prepare themselves for a management position.

How will undertaking this course benefit you?
This course will allow you to apply and practice plastering skills to complement your on-the-job training. You will learn to install and finish plasterboard and fibre cement sheeting to line walls and ceilings. You’ll construct bulkheads and assemble partitions as well as install cornicing. Our trade-qualified teachers will train you to work safely and effectively and will assist you to plan and inspect your work to ensure the highest standards.
Upon completion participants may apply to NSW Fair Trading for a Wall and Ceiling Lining contractor’s licence.
Are there any entry requirements?
Participants should have a minimum of four years’ experience working in a relevant role, and must hold a current Construction Induction (White) Card and/or a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency CPCCOHS1001A Work Safely in the Construction Industry.
All participants must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). To obtain yours, go to www.usi.gov.au and follow the prompts to create your USI.

What do I get from it?
Upon successful completion participants receive a Statement of Attainment for CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and construction and BSB50820 – Diploma of Project Management.
To achieve CPC50220 Diploma of Building and construction, the candidate must demonstrate competency in:
- 27 units of competency:
- 24 core units
- 3 elective units
- a maximum of one unit may be from any training package or accredited course as long as it ensures the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contributes to a valid, industry supported vocational outcome.

- if not listed, up to 2 units may be selected from a Diploma or above, from this or any other currently endorsed Training Package qualification or accredited course.
Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the AQF alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.
Chosen elective units must not include BSBPMG430 Undertake project work.
