What is this course about?
There are two types of courses for getting your test and tag license and both certify you as a ‘competent person’. By Australian standards, this confirms you’re capable of testing electrical appliances.
This is a 1 day face-to-face course.
Who should do it?
This qualification is suitable for anyone currently working in the construction industry, or for anyone who would like to become certified to carry out appliance test and tagging.
How will undertaking this course benefit you?
This is the highest qualification available in Australia for electrical testing and tagging and has been designed to give you all the skills and competency required to begin testing and tagging. This course has been completed by individuals, large corporations and hundreds of small-medium sized businesses.
Are there any entry requirements?
All participants must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). To obtain yours, go to www.usi.gov.au and follow the prompts to create your USI.
No previous electrical knowledge or background is required.

What do I get from it?
Upon successful completion participants receive a Statement of Attainment for UEENEEP026A – Conduct in-service testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies and UEENEEE101A – Apply Occupational Health and Safety regulations, codes of practices in the workplace.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in:

- UEENEEE101A – Apply Occupational Health and Safety regulations, codes of practices in the workplace

- 100 points of identification
- A pen
- Closed footwear
- High visibility shirt or vest
