What is this course about?

CPCCDE3014A – Remove Non-Friable Asbestos allows participants to learn how to identify and dispose correctly of asbestos and asbestos-containing materials is a safe and correct way, to ensure the safety of both you and the people around you.

Did you know?

Asbestos can be found in roofing, cement sheets and pipes, clutch and brake linings, insulation, a range of building materials, boilers, electrical fittings, gaskets, floor tiles, plastics, textiles and other products.

Who should do it?

Anyone who is undertaking work on a job site, in both building and construction or demolition, where asbestos could be found.

How will undertaking this course benefit you?

Handling asbestos-containing materials can cause health complications to you and the workers around you. This course will demonstrate how to handle and dispose asbestos-containing material correctly to avoid health risks on the job site.

You can apply with Safe Work NSW to gain your Class B, Remove Non-Friable Asbestos License. However subject to the criteria to meet the required standards, please contact Safe Work on 13 10 50 for further information.

Are there any entry requirements?

You must complete the Asbestos Awareness online course prior to course commencement. This course is included in the price for the Remove Non-Friable Asbestos cost. Please contact the Training Department on info@bot.edu.au should you require more information.

All participants must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). To obtain yours, go to www.usi.gov.au and follow the prompts to create your USI.

How is it delivered?

Blended Delivery. A mix of both online and face to face learning.

Where is it?

At an BOT office or venue chosen by BOT.

When can I start?

The Asbestos Awareness course can be completed any time between registration and course commencement. For course start details, please contact us.

What do I get from it?

Upon successful completion participants receive a Statement of Attendance for Asbestos Awareness, and a Statement of Attainment for Remove Non Friable Asbestos.

What do I need to bring?

  • 100 points of identification
  • A pen
  • Closed footwear
  • High visibility shirt or vest
  • Students are required to have access to the internet and a computer with a webcam.

Can I get CPD points for this class?

Yes, 14 CPD points are attached to the successful completion of this course.
