Project Description

This is the qualification required to apply for a builders licence if you are not a Carpenter or Bricklayer

What is this course about?

The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry.

The construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all included units of competency to be delivered in this context.

Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.

CPC40110 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) requires assessment of units of competency that address the skills and knowledge of a builder in the construction industry.

The CPC50210 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) in class training and assessment course is designed to enable potential builders and others in the industry to improve their business skills and technical knowledge so that they can successfully manage their building and construction business and projects. Participants will be assessed against skills and knowledge that meet current industry requirements for the building
sector

Additional units of competency may be required to meet builder registration requirements in various States and Territories.

Who should do it?

This qualification is suitable for anyone currently working in a construction environment that would like to apply for a builders licence if they are not a Carpenter or Bricklayer.

This Double Qualification is the qualification required to apply for a builders licence if you are not a Carpenter or Bricklayer.

The CPC40110- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) is designed to meet the needs of builders and supervisors of small to medium-sized building businesses, and those looking at furthering their career as a builder.

The builder may also be the appropriately licensed person with responsibility under the relevant building licensing authority in the State or Territory. Builder licensing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this qualification may be required.

Occupational titles may include:

  • Builder
  • Construction manager.

CPC50210 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) requires assessment of units of competency that address the skills and knowledge of a builder in the construction industry.
